A 2016 iM — which starts at $19,995 new — is now being sold for $13,094 with not even 1500 miles on it. Meaning after one year, it has allegedly lost 35% of its value. Also cute when cars this new are advertised as “one-owner.” I should hope so!

My sister will be driving in less than a year. Been looking at small hatches like the fit, Prius C, Cruze hatch, and this. Honestly these are becoming the bargain of the year right now

I mean, there are still old 2013 Matricies out there asking over $13,000. My argument against the iM when new what that it might not be a better value than a low-mileage Pontiac Vibe; but with near-no miles and X years less wear and tear, these are the ones to get if prices drop like this.

We all really like the fit, but considering they don’t really depreciate, and the fact that last gens with over 80k miles are going for the same price, it makes it pretty hard to justify

I wanted a second gen fit for the Mrs., but prices were nuts — unless I wanted one with over 150k miles. I was like, “I’m not dropping 12 for a commuter car that’s halfway to its grave.” My wife drives over 20k miles a year too, so it really wouldn’t have been an optimal choice.

Aren’t the sole two reasons to buy a Corolla (because that’s what it is) reliability and low depreciation? With low depreciation gone, what’s the point of (buying a new) one of these hateful appliances?

My sister bought a Prius C recently. She absolutely freaking loves it. I drove it and don’t understand, but I am really happy she is happy.
